This hat was just what I was looking for. I'm a guy and I need a wide sun brim on a hat with a bit of style. It's great for the price. I can't give it 5 stars for 2 reasons. My head size is at the absolute maximum of what this was supposed to fit. However, it is much too large, and required some filler inside the band. The main issue I have is that the hat was packaged in a plastic bag with no protection, then placed inside a plastic Amazon shipping bag with no protection. When I received it, one side of the brim was folded nearly in half, and the hat was badly bent out of shape. I'm surprised it arrived in as good a shape as it did. I cannot understand why Amazon saw fit to use a bag rather than a box. I have received smaller items from them in larger cardboard boxes than would have been required to package this hat. Anyway, I have looked a long time and could not find anything else I liked as well so I decided to keep it. By using some water, steam, pressure and clamps, I returned the hat to a decent shape. I would have been much happier, and would not have had to work so hard if someone had given a bit of thought to the proper method of shipping a hat. If you can get it shipped to you in decent shape, it is a great value, and a classy look.The fitting of it was perfect which made the hat extremely comfortable. I almost kept it for that reason. The texture and shine of it made like it less than my other hat of this kind. The structure of it is more floppy btwI bought this hat for my mom and she says its fits nice and is good qualityThis hat is so cute and perfect! I have a small head and it can be hard to find hats that fit and don’t look huge on me. I got a medium, adjusted the strap and it looks great! Love it!This hat is perfect. I ordered the size Med not really knowing if that was my size or not. I am fairly petite (5'2", 115lb) So I figured my head probably wasn't a "large." I'd say the Med was a tad too big, but it comes with a strap in the hat band that allows you to adjust the fit slightly and I was able to tighten it up perfectly. The chin strap is removable and will be a great addition to beach days, while I can ditch the strap for park visits. We have season passes to a local amusement park and also plan on visiting theme parks in Florida this summer. It will be the perfect hat for those fun days , good neck and ear coverage, without being so big that it is obnoxious. I'm thrilled with this fun hat at such an affordable price.the only thing not great about this hat is the ribbon around it, which makes it look costume-y. it's otherwise beautiful and seems high quality! I wish I could take the ribbon off but I can see it's super glued on and I don't want to be left with the dried glue to deal with. Bummer!This is a great hat and exactly what I was looking for. I have a smaller size head and with most hats in the economy range I have to pad them to make them fit correctly. This adjusted perfectly. This is a uni-sex hat. Although, most of the photos shown are women, there’s nothing gender specific about this hat. It looks great on and offers sun protection while still being breathable. I bought it for mostly doing yard work, so I don’t need the chin strap for that, but at the beach or on a windy day, attaching the strap is easy enough. I’m very pleased with this purchase and definitely recommend it.The hat is great, fits well and is definitely packable, but unfortunately it came without the chin strap.. which was half the reason I bought this particular hat!
